WBB: Sooners Beat Tech on the Road

Sooners fought off a Tech comeback and rebounded against their loss to Iowa State by beating the Raiders, 70-66. Danielle Robinson scored 26 points, which included the go-ahead jumper with just over a minute and two free throws with 9 seconds to seal the win.

The Sooners improved to 15-5 and 5-2 in the Big 12, and Tech fell to 13-7 and 1-5 in conference.

Robinson was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line for the Sooners, who beat Texas Tech for the 10th straight time. Nyeshia Stevenson added 17 points and Amanda Thompson had eight points and 13 rebounds. The Sooners were 18-20 from the line while Tech was just 8-17.

Jordan Murphree scored 16 of her 28 points in the final 9 minutes to lead Texas Tech (13-7, 1-5).

The Sooners built a 10-point lead early in the second, but Murphree closed the gap, converting three-point plays down the stretch. She tied the game at 66 with 1:35 left. That's when Robinson hit a turnaround jumper on the baseline as she fell out of bounds.

The Sooners will host the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday at 7:00 CST.
