OU headed to Waco looking to maintain a 56 year, 30 game win streak versus the Baylor Bears, but then they ran in to block monster Ekpe Udoh and fell hard, 60-91. OU started out strong, leading 20-11 in the first before the Bears closed the half on a 30-6 run. By that time it was over, as Baylor continued to dominate in every aspect of the game. Any run by the Sooners was ended by a massive dunk by Baylor's Quincy Acy, who had three throw downs in the second.
OU was unable to stop the three point shooters, as Baylor shot 10-20 from behind the arc. The Sooners were also out rebounded 22-38.
Tiny Gallon and Tony Crocker were the only Sooners to finish in double figures, with 17 and 16, respectively. Willie Warren was held to only 9 points, while shooting 3-9. Tommy Mason-Griffin did not enter the game until the second half and had 6 points.
Baylor was led by LaceDarius Dunn, who had 28 points while shooting 6-8 on three point attempts. Tweety Carter had 18 points and 10 assists, while Ekpe Udoh had 14 points, 8 boards, and 7 blocks.
OU will face OSU on Monday at 8:00 on ESPN. The Sooners will try to dig themselves out of last place in the Big 12.
The Sooners, who were picked to finish 3rd in the Big 12, dropped to 9-6, while the Bears, who improved to 13-1, made an emphatic statement after they were picked 10th.
