Willie Warren and Tommy Mason-Griffin missed jumpers in the final seconds as OU (11-7) fell to the Aggies (13-5) in College Station, 65-62. Both teams are now 2-2 and tied for fourth in the Big 12.
OU fell behind 29-39 at the end of the first, but outscored A&M 18-6 in the beginning of the second to take a lead 8 minutes in. But OU's defense couldn't stop the Aggies in the final three minutes and several Sooners missed key free throws.
Freshman Mason-Griffin scored a career high 21 points to lead the Sooners. Fellow freshman Tiny Gallon had 10 points and 7 rebounds and Willie Warren added 14.
OU travels to Lubbock, TX to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday. Tech has an overall record of 12-5, but is 0-3 in conference. The game will tip off 7:00 CST.
