Willie Warren scored 21 points as OU topped the Tigers for a 66-61 victory. Cade Davis recoreded his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Sooners have showed a lot of growth defensively over the last two games, an area they greatly struggled in at the beginning of the season.
Missouri was riding a 9 game winning streak that included an upset of number 10 Kansas State. OU was coming off an 62-57 overtime win against OSU. The Sooners are 11-6 overall, and 2-1 in conference after dropping their first game in an embarrassing loss to Baylor.
OU had a sloppy first half and trailed 27-32 at the break. The Sooners turned the ball over 20 total time, most coming in the first 20 minutes. But OU outscored the Tigers 39-29 in the second half to bring in the win.
Ryan Wright and Steven Pledger scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench. Tommy Mason-Griffin had 8 points but also had 7 turnovers. Tiny Gallon didn't add any points and only played for 14 minutes. Tony Crocker was also held scoreless as he played only 5 minutes.
OU will play at Texas A&M at 7:00 on Tuesday.
